Mobile coverage is patchy in Ruby Valley. NTC or Ncell signals work in lower villages like Syabrubesi but fade higher up. Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent. You can charge in most homestays, often via solar, with a small fee. Still, carrying a high-capacity power bank is essential as electricity isn’t consistently reliable.

In Nepal, people already practice sustainability in their everyday life by utilizing biogas generated from animal manure for cooking, supporting the community tourism sector by staying in local homestays, and preserving traditional farming methods. As trekkers, please help sustain these practices by choosing to stay in local teahouses, respecting local customs and the natural environment.

During a trek, especially at high altitudes, immediate action is crucial for medical issues or severe altitude sickness. For any medical problem, assess the situation, provide basic first aid if possible, and alert your trekking guide immediately. For severe altitude sickness (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema – HAPE or High Altitude Cerebral Edema – HACE), the primary treatment is immediate descent to a lower altitude.

While Wi-Fi availability has increased along the  trek, it is not guaranteed throughout the entire route. You can generally find Wi-Fi in the teahouses and lodges in the lower altitude villages, often for a fee. However, as you ascend to higher altitudes and more remote areas, the availability and reliability of Wi-Fi tend to decrease significantly, becoming sporadic or even non-existent in some places.
